Welcome to the pages devoted to read through '700 of the Gallura pastoral visits
The site, created and designed by Luigi Agus thanks to a co-financing
of the Province of Olbia-Tempio, offers in pdf format a transcript of the pastoral visits made
by Bishop Salvatore Angelo Cadello Cugia in Gallura between 1745 and 1763.
The site has been designed to have easy access to both enthusiasts or scholars and historians,
since almost all the topics are already on the home page.
In the bar at the top, just below the title, there are a number of keys that refer to general pages
that illustrate respectively the project and methodological criteria of transcription,
the biography of Bishop Cadello-Cugia who made the visits, the paths made in the visits be
published; the decrees issued during those visits, the project partners and some thematic indices,
such as that of the terms relating to fabrics used in the visits.
On the left space are listed the centers touched by visits. Each link will take you to a
page where there is a brief history, the file cards connected to the center and churches
touched by the visit that you will find on the right space of each page. Clicking on the links
of the churches of each center you go to a page where a brief history of the relative church
is illustrated with on the bottom the relative file cards connected to it.
Below, then, are the links related to languages (Italian and Gallurese), where some pages are visible.
